She sipped on her vodka not wanting to get too wasted. Like I said, this was her first impression, she couldn't be known as a drunk. She smiled swaying a bit to the music playing. She noticed a lot of people knew each other already. She wondered how tight this community was and if she'd be singled out as a party crasher. She hoped not. And she was invited though at the moment she couldn't remember by who.
Just as these thoughts were swimming through her head someone talked to her. Hey he said. She smiled at him "Hi" she said a bit loudly. "I'm Michelle" she introduced herself, though she didn't know who he was, she didn't want to insult him by admitting that. She did remember hearing of him, it was his party. She looked him up and down he was cute. Tall. She liked tall.
"What's you poison?" She asked motioning to his drink. She tended to judge people on their drinking style. That and their music style. Sometimes even their name. If she didn't like what you were drinking or what you listened to, even if she didn't like your name, she gave you a hard time about it. Not mean, just made it difficult to be fast friends. She liked hard liquor. She didn't like those fruity girly drinks and she didn't like beer. She was weird like that.
She continued to scope out the room, while still paying attention to Dometri. She liked to people watch. She learned more about you from far away then actually talking to you. By your mannerisms, the way your body language spoke, and the way you interacted with people. Even if she was a tad late for the beginning of the party there were still people pouring in. This would be a kick ass party, she was sure of it.

Weaving in and out of people it was clear that this Dometri guy got around. It was still what he considered to be early, but this house was busting at the seams with people. A lot of faces were familiar; he’d been at the school for a couple of weeks now, so it would be weird if he didn’t recognize anyone. He was totally lost for names however, but this would be a good opportunity to learn them. Parties were good for socializing; there was a lot more talking than Jim thought most people out of ‘the know’ would expect. Though he wanted to spend an extensive amount of time in Alex’s company, meeting a new face or two was not totally out of the question. He was new after all – it was inevitable that she’d introduce him to someone.
As she questioned his affinity for all things alcoholic, they approached the kitchen, where all the drinks seemed to be coming from. It surprised him when she turned and kissed him. With a grin on his face, he answered her. “Yea, just get me whatever,” he said, plainly. Alcohol never had for Jim the stigma that others seemed to think it had. Alcohol was just another drink and he could hold his own with the best of them. Tonight however, he thought he’d keep his wits about him. More often than not a drink in Jim’s hand was a prop – just something to hold to fit in with the crowd.
They were approached suddenly by a guy who had a sort of ringleader look to him. Though the two guys exchanged the briefest glance, what caught Jim's attention was the way he acted with Alex. With no hesitation, Jim watched as this guy with - was that some sort of eye make up? - leaned in and kissed Alex's neck. He was instantly irritated and released her hand, though not in a way that she would have noticed any sort of irritation. As quick as what he discerned to be their host had arrived he made his way away from them, though Jim paid no attention to the direction he was headed, or any of the people he proceeded to talk to.
Realizing how crowded the kitchen was, he glanced over her head to the busy surroundings. Leaning forward he spoke loud enough she could hear him. “I saw a couch in the other room – I’m gonna crash there – we’ll be crushed if we both try to get in the kitchen,” as he spoke his hand found the small of her back. Though he wasn’t intent on letting her out of his sight, it was easier to do so knowing she was in such friendly company. Still irritated, he wasn't in the mood to navigate the crowded kitchen. People seemed to already have a head start on them and getting into it with drunks was for later in the evening.
Turning back toward the couch he was there in a minute, his phone in his hand. He sent a quick text - two actually - and let the thing rest on his leg as he took a seat. The surroundings were comfortable and Jim wondered what Dometri's parents did for a living. It was a stupid habit, learned from his father who always wondered the same thing. There was no reason for Jim to care about such a thing and he let his eyes wander the room and people watch. People watching was the best part of parties; a good way to get to know people - better than reality television.

Naomi scope the place out a little before pouring herself a drink. She looked at all the alcohol there and she decided that Jack on the rocks would be good for now.She got a cup and some ice from the freezer and put it in the cup.She took the cap off of the bottle and filled the cup.She re-capped the bottle and put it down. She picked up her cup as she looked around.Naomi took a sip of her drink and decided to go outside.
The rain had lightened to just a small drizzle and Naomi felt better out here. She knew that she should go in and mingle, but there was just too many people in that house to do anything.Naomi walked over to the pool and slipped her shoes off.She sat down on the pool's edge and put her feet in the water. She took another sip of her drink and put it down next to her.

Crimson waltzed over, seeing the young girl with her feet in the water. Pulling Ferris with her, she walked over, sitting down beside her. "Well, hello there." she said, looking over her. "You... seem a bit lonely out her." she said, glacing from the girl, to Ferris. She was really starting to like the male, but wasn't sure how he felt about her. She leaned in lightly, kissing his cheek, her hand still holding onto his.

Feeling Jim's hand part from hers, she almost grabbed his hand again, but she didn't. Her heart sank, and she wanted to know why he let go. Sighing lightly, she nodded. She watched him eye Dometri, that was why. It was all harmless though. Plus, her and Jim barely knew each other. And he was jealous already? Well, she kind of liked that, but not him just oddly letting her go, and walking off.
Weaving through the people, she got to the alcohol, and grabbed two bottles of beer. Hopefully he'd be fine with it. She stopped for a moment, seeing Dometri with a brown haired girl. She giggled softly, walking back off to find Jim. He wasn't really straight forward on what couch he'd be on.
But she found him. She sat between him and another girl. "This alright?" she asked, looking over him, smiling lightly.

Dometri's pearly teeth showed as he smiled, and looked back to her still. "Dometri, if you didn't know." he shrugged. "Mmm. Well... I love vodka. And...beer." he laughed lightly. "I suppose some of the fruit ones are alright though. And yours is...?"
He couldn't help but see the girl look over him, which he quite enjoyed. He watched her eyes trail off of him, and sighed softly, but it couldn't be heard. He leaned against the counter, maybe it'd be hard to impress this girl. And out of all of them, he found most interest in her. He had a soft spot for brown hair, and brown eyes.

As Callie spoke, his face brightened. He looked over at her, "So I'm cute, huh?" he smiled happily, watching at her. He was jealous of Dometri, but he wouldn't have to worry about Callie falling for his friend.
He looked over the drinks, grabbing a berry Mike's Hard Lemonade. "I love these things." he laughed lightly. His eyes looked over across her face again. "Do you wanna go sit down, or dance, or something?" he asked. It'd kinda be hard to dance and drink at the same time, so maybe going off and sitting together would be better.

His attention was with a girl within his line of sight, the only one to venture out towards the pool. Jim momentarily entertained the idea of joining her; he was a fan of water, especially rain and not a lot of that came easily for him when he was stuck in Arizona. Before he could think too much about it, the couple that he’d seen as they’d entered the house went to her. That was good, he thought to himself. It didn’t seem right for anyone at a party to just be alone.
As he realized the irony at the fact that he was currently sitting by himself, he was almost immediately joined by Alex, smile on her face and beers in her hand. Realizing there wasn’t much of a place for her to sit, he slid over away from another girl who had sat down at some point and made room for Alex. He smiled as she offered him a bottle, which he accepted. “Great,” he said, the tone of his voice rose slightly above the noise of the party. Beer was not his most favorite thing, but she didn’t need to know that. He took a swig from the bottle and glanced around.
“Come here,” he said, taking her hand and pulling her closer to him, a mischievous look in his eye. The music was changing and people were busy shuffling around the house, but Jim’s focus lay on the girl at his side. He was only vacantly aware of everyone else at the party.

"Anything clear" she told him regarding her favorite drink. She approved of his taste for vodka, but was iffy on the other choices. Suddenly she felt a vibration in her jean pocket. She pulled out her cell and looked at it and smiled widely. It was James. "Thought he forgot 'bout me" she mumbled to herself. She quickly typed in a response and put the phone away.
She found herself happier at that moment. She didn't know if it was the alcohol, the scene or the text but she was in a fired up mood. "Kick ass house you've got" she told Dometri. It was true the house was huge and it was finely decorated, from what she could see. The masses of people made it hard to tell for sure.
She finished her second cup of vodka, which was only half full to begin with, but decided to lay off for a bit. She'd have something a little later. She would be driving after all. Suddenly a song blared from the speakers, one that she hadn't heard in a long time. She didn't know the name or who sung it but she knew that she loved it. "Wanna dance?" she asked Dom.

Grinning, Callie looked up at Tristan. "Very cute," she added, smiling at him. Her face still took a slight pink hue to it, but she wasn't really ashamed to be blushing in front of him. It was nice to have finally met someone who she could click with. It was surprising to her that Tristan was only a sophomore. He seemed much more mature than his age.
"Uhh...do you just wanna sit down?" Callie asked. She was kind of shy about dancing, though when she was relaxed, she was actually quite good at it. She had a sense of rhythm and movement, but she couldn't dance well if she felt shy or nervous. She figured once she got a drink or two in her, and warmed up to the party, then maybe Tristan might wanna dance.

Alex frowned lightly, seeing his eyes on another girl. She ignored it, as much as she could, watching him drink down the beer. She listened to him speak, and smiled lightly, cuddling to him. Her eyes looked away, as she took a long drink of her beer.
"What do you want to do?" she asked after swallowing. Her hand held onto his still, not wanting to let go. He was so warm, and she felt so cold inside. It was just comforting.

Dometri looked over at her, nodding. "That's cool. So you like the strong stuff?" he teased A frown went upon his face, as she ignored him and looked down to the phone.
Then she spoke, and nodding slightly. "Thanks." he said, about to leave. But she spoke again. He shrugged lightly, "Sure." he smiled, taking her hand slightly, pulling her into the crowd gently, keeping her close so she wouldn't be stolen from him.

Jim felt a soft vibration as the phone in his pocket probably received a return text message. He knew who the message was from without looking and had a decent guess of what it said. Though replying would have only been natural, he hesitated to do so now. Instead he ignored it and continued to look around the party, watching the people collected. It was interesting watching people interact together. He thought about some of the colorful commentary his Seattle friends had added to their people watching practices with the slightest grin.
"I don't really know," he said. "This is your crowd, what's to do?" He asked curiously. There was a group of people collected, starting to dance, some people out by the pool. It looked like they had a few options besides sitting around and drinking, which was nice. He took another swig of beer and looked to her curiously. "Whatever you think, really."

Alex watched him, close enough to feel his pocket viberate. She frowned, seeing him ignore it. "You can do whatever, I'm not going to get mad." she laughed lightly, leaning in, kissing his lips lightly.
"Well..." she muttered, thinking. "Do you want to go swimming?" she asked, taking his hand lightly, her fingers locking with his.

Jim looked surprised; most girls hated cell phones with a passion. He remembered distinctly being yelled at two or three times for cell phone use in the company of a girl. It was funny, at least in his perception, but he said nothing. "It's all right," he said, dismissing it completely. He kissed her back, her lips lightly landing against his own. Things at the party were getting louder around them as people were relaxing and getting some alcohol in them. Alcohol made everyone loud; and brave. It was interesting.
"Sure, why not?" He said, tightly squeezing her hand in his own. It was so small by comparison; sort of cute in this charming way. "You lead the way."
